Connecting a custom domain

Published · Last updated

What a custom domain is

A custom domain lets your booking page live at a web address you already own, such as
booking.yourpractice.com, instead of a bodyworkr.com subdomain. Use this when you want
the page to match your existing website and branding.

How to connect it

  1. Go to Accounts and open the account you want to change.
  2. Click Edit (visible only to account admins — see below).
  3. Enter your domain in the Domain field and save.
  4. At your domain registrar, add a DNS record pointing that domain to BodyWorkr (the exact
record is shown after you save).
  5. DNS changes can take up to a few hours to take effect.

Who can do this

Only an account owner or admin can connect a custom domain. If you don't see the Edit
button, you're not an admin of that account — see
User roles and permissions.

Subdomain or custom domain?

  • A subdomain (yourpractice.bodyworkr.com) is free and instant — best for getting
started. See Setting up your booking subdomain.
  • A custom domain (booking.yourpractice.com) uses an address you own — best when you
already have a website and want everything under one brand.
