Export your data from MassageBook

Export everything — before you close MassageBook
The moment you close your MassageBook account, anything you didn't export is gone for good.
There's no getting it back. So export all of it now — even the reports we don't import into
BodyWorkr yet. Send us everything and we'll keep it safe; it costs you nothing to be thorough, and
it protects your whole history.
Do this while your MassageBook account is still open, before you cancel it.
What to export
Everything below. From your MassageBook dashboard, Sales → Reports holds most of it; the
client list and intake forms are separate.
Sales → Reports (download each as CSV):
- Income
- Income by type
- Sales by staff
- Sales by service
- Product sales
- Gift cards
- Appointments
- Future appointments
- Cancelled appointments
- Pre-sold series
- Fees
- Store credits
- Lifetime value
Also export:
- Client list — the Export client file action in your Clients area.
- Intake forms — download each client's intake PDF.
Grab every report even if it looks minor or empty. If MassageBook offers any other export not
listed here, send that too — more is always better than losing it.
We import the core now and keep the rest safe
Right now BodyWorkr brings your clients, appointments (past, upcoming, and cancelled),
service menu with prices, and intake forms straight into your account. Everything else you
send is archived securely as your raw export — nothing is discarded, and more of it can be
imported later. The point today is simple: get the data out of MassageBook before it disappears.
Set the date range and staff filter
Each report makes you choose a start and end date, and some add a staff filter. Two rules
so nothing is missed:
- Dates: set the start as far back as your records go, and the end to today. For Future
appointments, set the end far enough ahead to include every upcoming booking. - Staff: set any staff filter to all staff — and that means former staff too. Include
providers who no longer work with you. If you leave them out, every appointment tied to them, and
the client history that goes with it, is missed. We can mark a departed provider inactive in
BodyWorkr after the import so they're out of the way, but only if their data came over in the
first place. If the report only lets you pick one person at a time, export once per staff
member — current and past — and send us every file.
Send them to us
Send all the files together — the CSVs plus the intake PDFs. Our team runs the import, which:
- does a dry run first that previews how records match your existing
clients before anything is written, and - commits it once the preview looks right.
Duplicates are merged, not doubled — the import matches clients by email, phone, and name.
Who can do this
Exporting is done by someone with owner or admin access to your MassageBook business. The
BodyWorkr team runs the import into your account. See
User roles and permissions.
Tips
- Export the widest date range MassageBook allows, so your full history comes across in one
pass. - Leave the files named as MassageBook exports them — we recognize each report by its columns, so
original names help. - Don't clean anything up. Send the raw exports exactly as downloaded and we'll handle the rest.
- Export before you cancel MassageBook. Confirm with us that we've received everything before
you close the account.
